Dr. Mary Higgins, a committed woman of God offering Christian Counseling and specializing in providing restorative encouragement to broken homes, and families experiencing many disappointments of life. Many families cannot get beyond what happened in the past: Unable to forgive their spouse, children are totally disrespectful, the ex-spouse is interfering in the relationship, can’t get over the death of a loved one, “oops, I gotta let him go,” “oh, I remember when you…,” “What’s a blended family?” These are a few of the most common issues that plague families across the country.
Dr. Higgins trusts God for guidance in helping individuals regain their hope in their life through use of Christian principles. She is a Certified Christian Counselor with a Doctorate of Philosophy in Biblical Counseling from Friends International Christian University. She has a Doctorate of Philosophy Degree in Administration of Higher Education from The University of Alabama. Gifted in many areas of Church Administration, Dr. Higgins has served as Director of Christian Education, Music Liaison and Director; Pastor of Pastoral Care for 25 years at St. Agnes Church, ten (10) years as Assistant to the Pastor in a United Methodist Church, Texas Medical Center Clergy since 1998, Twenty (20) years Case Management Certified Supervisor working with mentally challenged individuals, and Five (5) years as a Certified Lay Chaplain at Methodist Hospital providing support to cancer patients and families.
Other academic appointments include serving as Academic Dean of Gregoreo School, a Christian Seminary Provisionally accredited through ICAA Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, OK training ministers, leaders, teachers, other evangelists for Kingdom Work; Assistant Professor and Assistant Director of Student Affairs, University of Missouri, Columbia and Physics Administrator, Rice University, Houston, TX. #christiancounseling
